Hi all,
Is that really necessary to get TRIM enabled on MBA SSD? I just got new MBA ultimate that comes with Samsung SSD.
Thanks.
It won't hurt matters, but it does involve installing a hack that discussed in the Mac Pro forums (try a search of TRIM Support Enabler). It installs a kernel extension from the current MacBook Pro versions of 10.6.7, which do support TRIM on Apple's OEM drives. Anyway, TRIM is coming officially in OS X 10.7, which is expected as early as June. In 2 months (or even 6 months with average usage), your drive performance shouldn't degrade enough so that you would notice. The newer drives that Apple uses are a lot better than older SSDs were.

Well i've used the same types of disks before without a problem... I used roxio to burn them which i've also used before. So you believe that just because you don't have problems with other discs of the same line, that the problematic disc must necessarily be fine?

Hi
My iPhone power adapter had fallen into dirt and I was cleaning it with water. I then let it dry for an hour and then put it into the wall. The phone did not charge. The adapter was also making some low frequent sound that it shouldn't do. This was a week ago. Now, it has been drying for a week but it still doesn't charge the phone.
Did something happen when I tried to use it and it was still wet? Is it possible to fix somehow or must I just throw it? How should I have reacted if I have to clean a power adapter again, just let it dry for more than an hour?
Thanks!

The only thing i remember is lyrics going like this "Everybody common clap your hands". I remember I seen the video with two girls with shinny dresses and a man in the middle singing. Can someone help me please help me find the name of this singer or group from the disco times. Thank you so much. :o

One of the *normal* features of beta software, is that it expires, or has a time limit to it. I would not count on being able to go back to 4.3b2 or 4.3b3 when ever I choose simply because I have SHSH blobs saved for them, on your iPad1. Indeed because the use of beta software requires a special developer account, if I lacked such an account I'd be much more reluctant to put such firmware on my device...
I'm not in apples developer program, and do not know if this firmware has, or does not have an expiration date.

what exactly is the difference between the two chips? If any.
Is there any extra benefit of the DDR 2700 ram in the dual 1.25s?

Depending on model, the new iMacs ship with Core i5-2400S (low-end 21"), i5-2500S (high-end 21" and low-end 27"), i5-2400 (high-end 27") CPU's in their standard configurations. BTO variants are available with Core i7-2600S (high-end 21"), and Core i7-2600 (high-end 27").
I actually didn't know the iMac used all low-power Sandy Bridge designs ("S") for their CPU's except for the high-end 27" model (both in its BTO variant and not).
All CPU's here were introduced in early 2011 and I believe at the same date as the 2500K. :)

This is the second one of these I found in the woods behind my house.
They are semi-soft, and look like they might be an egg of some type, though at first I thought they were man-made because of the perfect seam that runs around the center.
ANyone have any idea what this is?

Or select all tracks for an album, Get Info, then type the Album Name one time, instead of copying and pasting.
For the OP: Have you considered removing those albums from your iTunes library and re-ripping them with an internet connection available?
Yeah, I figured I would have to re-rip them. I was just hoping that the names and tracks would magically appear with the changing of a setting...
I didn't copy down the track lists so I couldn't even enter them without looking them up. But first I would have to figure out which albums are which... Re-ripping looks like the easiest way.

Hi there,
I recently reinstalled my Mac, but I forgot to backup and now I need a very important file that I deleted because I ereased the whole disk. Is there a way to get it back? I have no Time Machine backup, but it's really important.
If it is important you can get it off a backup. If there is no backup, it's not important. If your having trouble with your backup maybe we can help you.

One option to hunt down the slowness is YSlow (http://developer.yahoo.com/yslow/), a add-on for Firefox with Firebug. Safari's developer tools (http://developer.apple.com/technologies/safari/developer-tools.html) also have a section for analyzing the network traffic to see what specific items on your page are downloading slowly.

Does anyone know if kaplan prep-course expenses can be included into overall educational expenses?
Also, what about application fees?

I use the built in Mac screen sharing utility to remotely log in and share my wife's desktop and my server. Works like a charm and was simple to set up.

The version comes with Mac Mini Server is most likely for that computer only.
Any included copy of OS X only works with the model it came with. However, I think you can use the OS X server key on different hardware, you just need the retail disks.

My iTrip churns through my iPod's battery charge, wouldn't an LCD screen just make it that much worse? On the other hand, it would be nice to have the option of seeing what station was being broadcast.

how much do these two cost? surely they are not free are they?
I've no idea how much they cost. My access is provided 'free' of charge by my university. If the OP is in university in the States, it almost certain that his/ her school provides access for its students.
