Yep, if you install iTunes on that other computer running Windows and authorise it to your iTunes Store account.

That sounds about normal. Nothing to worry about. The warranty is based on the serial number of the phone and not the owner. :)

Who says there's definitely a refresh coming in June? That's still a rumor, right? But if you're asking the question, that means you probably don't need the computer now and can wait. There'll always be something better around the corner, though, so you can be waiting for a long time.

I hate, I mean HATE these phillips #00 and #000 screws. When I swapped the ram on my late 2008 alum macbook I stripped one of the screws (using the correct phillips #00 or #000, I forget which) getting them out. I had to go to the apple store where they were able to get the stripped screw out. They also had to order replacements (that they graciously gave and mailed me for free despite being out of warranty). When I was setting the last screw, when I had maybe one turn left, it stripped again, but the access door closed thankfully.
Fast forward a year later - now - and I am again having the same problem getting the screw out that holds the hard drive in. I am swapping my 250gb for a 500gb WD Black. My question is not so much how to get the stripped screw out - I have already made a genius appointment - but how in the HECK do you get these things out before they strip? What am I doing wrong? I consider myself pretty handy but the 00 and 000 just seem to be hard as can be to get out.
I tend to prefer craftsman tools, though the screw driver I am using is the "Husky" brand which I got from lowes or home depot. Could it be the quality of the tool? Though the driver head is not deforming, the screw is. What gives!!

Yesterday was my official 2-year anniversary for folding.
314,000 points isn't too bad considering the limited number and limited power of my machines...at least by modern standards. My current production is low, and my rank has been dropping, but I am still pretty happy with the sheer amount of work I've contributed.
Not tooting my own horn, just wanted to mark the occasion. Congrats to all of you who are passing me...keep it up!

So it's been a few months since my last post. I'm still looking into purchasing a mac. I'm leaning towards a macbook pro 15" but i'd much rather have a mac pro.
Now I'm aware 2006 mac pros go for cheap. 1000$ on ebay for a decent one. My concern last time I was looking into a mac pro was that the 1,1's would not be upgradeable to lion due to the 32bit architecture. I can dish out the 2000$ or so for a refurb mac pro, but i don't think I need the processing power and I want to be able to run higher end gpu's.
I really only game, program and such. I rarely do any artwork.
So my question is this. Can the 2006 Mac Pro 1,1 run Lion? Has anyone on a Mac pro 1,1 ran lion in beta? How does it run? All info i've seen says the Mac Pro 1,1 is safe and can run lion. Can anyone confirm this?

Download iFile from Cydia and navigate to System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app
Scroll down till you find the "N72AP.plist" and open it in "Property List Viewer" mode.
Press "capabilities," then "device-name," and change it from "device" to "iPod" or whatever you want.
Your done! Please tell me if this didn't work!
Thx.

Hi I'd like to be able to watch a movie on my nano iPod, what's the best way?
THanks,
D
OP never said they had a first, second or sixth generation device.
Adrian, you have a point; this question can't be answered without that bit of knowledge.
dedalus, which version of the nano do you have? If you have the 6th gen with the clip on the back and the small touchscreen, then I have a bit of bad news; it cannot play video-- not yet, anyway.
The three previous versions can play video.

D

Has anyone else noticed a dot off the southeast coast of Africa from back in February, while not actually being there? (Somalian pirates need not respond).

Shold i but the xtreme or the xpress?
I only will use for download and flie sharing [very rare]
-I want the network to be hidden (so ppl can only find it by mannualy entreing the name and pssword.)
-I want it to work on windows too
-Hard to be hacked
-transmits w/o lag
-password easily changeable
or it's ok with normal routers?
Ethernet btw
