I'd suggest a mixture of UniPro and Psilocybin's remedies.
Dropbox for files that you may need to edit/update/sync then use MobileMe to sync your settings, keychain, etc...
You could also use iDisk to sync files but I prefer Dropbox for this part of the process.
Hope to help,

The camera controls aren't great, but they're not bothering me. I've definitely played games with worse. RE4 and Psychonaughts come to mind.
But yeah, I agree with your comment. I played it a couple of days ago. I'm going to get back on it tonight. DeathSpank:TOV grabbed some of my game time, as it finally just came out for the PC and on the same day as Epic Mickey, or else I would have been doing the Mickey thing.
None of Warren's games have had a smooth start for me, but they always grow on me to the point I can not forget them, so I'm hoping this game carries over some of that magic.
I bought one of those Mickey Nunchucks that looks like a paint brush. :o

Also bestbuy does have these refurbished and will ship to store. I bought mine through bestbuy it was 119, but after buying I realized It did come with a CD. I was able to use airport utility and worked great would have been a problem if you just have a pc.

I've tried to play Kinect once. After screwing around for awhile we finally realized it would just not recognize us with any real accuracy and we had to stop and just use normal controllers. My guess is the minimum distance was the problem, we were within it.
Honestly? Wii. You never notice to sensor bar cable, it never moves. And I don't really understand your complaint about controllers. They all have controllers (except when using Kinect, assuming you can get it to work). It's cheap and has a lot of games your kids will like, plus they can still play your gamecube games.

The PowerBooks span between their own inbuilt screen and a second (external) screen.
I can't imagine it'd be all that possible/easy to span between two external screens with a PowerBook though. :)
Nice. So all I need is one external monitor.
Sorry if this is an obivous question, but why is it hard to span between two externals with a Powerbook?

It's 5 if you're coming. I'll be getting there around 4:30 if traffic isn't bad. I'll make up a little sign that says MacRumors on it. I'm wearing my 5th Ave shirt with a long sleave underneath it.

so, ive installed win7ultimate64bit on its own hd(500gb) .
It took a while, as i managed to get, what i would think, almost every error possible ^-^, including having to pull other drives out, do a usb flasdrive install, set that up, ect & ect...
Anyhow, after following googled advice and various other known threads; i finally got it all running smoothly, i have both OSs completely updated and running great..
There was one main issue...i had to disable/rename the AppleMNT.sys file for win7/64 to stop crashing(blue-screenofdeath). This ofc lead to not having a sharable disk between win & osx. So i figured "shrink" the win7 drive, partition a 100gig part of it to exFat & i would have a drive (E) both operating systems can read & write to&from.
All made sense to me, however after this partition was made , i began to have crashing issues again. Now, 1 step back, i have to take the drives with OSX out of the machine for win7 to work again, and when i do so it works great. OSX works great in any case.
Is there a fix ?

If you read the thread in question, you'll find the OP's desire to block the user is completely unfounded. The OP asked for advice, got good advice, then rejected it, as many in the thread pointed out.

i know i am going out really far on this one...but my friend says she has a friend that works at the local apple store who hooked her up when she bought her 15" powerbook a few months ago. she couldn't give me any specifics, but i want to see her reciept to see what kind of discount she got. however, i probably won't get to see it for a few more days.
i am wondering if anyone knows anything about the apple employee discounts? from my research, any apple employee can receive 1 25% discount, and 3 15% discounts during a 1 year time period.
my big question is...can these be combined with education discounts?
thx!

Hi all-
I'm attempting to reformat an external drive that was once in my old Windows machine- I have no problem reading file on the drive, but it as marked as read-only and will not let me write/delete. I would love to reformat this drive at some point and find a better use for it, and any advice on how to fix it would be wonderful. Thanks!

FAIL article. Basically an uneducated promo for Android (Android will have free tethering!) that turned out to be false. In reality, all carriers are cracking down on Android devices.

Off of the spotlight tutorial (http://www.amazingsyco.com/archives/000071.html), I made this. Thanks to iLikeMyiMac #8 (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=84534) for the idea.
Also, I got the iMac from the Apple website.
Hope you like it!
Matthew
Hmm maybe I should try this new spotlight trend... :rolleyes:

Hey bud, this should help if you are using PHP and don't mind the browser doing the redirect. If you don't want the server to physically serve the page until a specific date you will need to look at .htaccess files
Otherwise this should help
<?php
$date_var = date("ymdHis", time());
// The date is formatted in year month day hour minute second.
// eg. 13:01:50 on the 3rd of March 2011 will be 20110303130150
// Simply choose the date and time you want the redirect to finish
// Remember the time set on your server might be different to your local machine
// Change <= to >= to output the html before the date you have chosen
if($date_var <= "110318092415"){ ?>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://example.com/" />
<?php } ?>

I got it working, what I had left out was i had to add the application on to the iTunes.
Some of the forum members had already told me of this particular step,
but i am a bit confused about that, and i thought it will be creating Application ID in iTunes which i had already done with.
Now i realised that both Application adding and creating application ID is necessary.
Now the application works fine.

I've just setup like this:
Gmail IMAP to sync mail, calendar and notes
Gmail Exchange to sync contacts
Is there a way to have the contact sync via IMAP so I don't have to have a seperate entry for Exchange?
