It installs various components into your system, so no, not until Apple modifies their guidelines.
Seeing how many things it does install and the size of the download, I wouldn't install this on any computer. Looks like FUDware to me.
As soon as I saw your post I thought this file was like 1GB. If 60MB DMG is a lot, I'm guessing you don't have iWorks or Office installed.

Depends on how you solve it, your answer is either 288 or 2.
Nothing is missing in the equation - no math symbol is missing between 2 and (9+3), so solve it as is.
Now, cast your vote! :)

Would have been so much better if the title had read "Apple asks Toyota to put the brakes on jailbreak ad campaign"

I've heard similar rumors about MobileMe going free. Makes sense if Apple could leverage the new iAd system to generate targeted campaigns, and effectively subsidise the cost of opening the system up to more users.
It would also pave the way for multiple cloud-based user accounts for the iPad.

People need to know that chip making is effing hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless ARM can best intel at what intel does best and that is making chips then Apple ain't(remember that this is a rumor) switching to ARM for their pcs and laptops. Hell no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I have to DL it from the App Store, I've got to download it 4 times!
I can copy iPhone apps from one computer to another just fine. As long as they're logged into the same account they work.
Shouldn't this work the same way?
I mean, obviously we don't know, but I don't see why it shouldn't.
So I guess we'll all just send you our AT&T Internet Bills when we go over their newly implemented data usage caps?
If you're using AT&T mobile internet as the primary connection for your Macs then you probably need to re-examine your life somewhat.

Honestly, I hope Toyota tells Apple to stuff it.

I love Apple for many reasons, but I also have a hard time with some of their ideology.

I wouldn't mind a heavier phone, if it meant better battery life or a bigger screen.
I think Apple are too obsessed with this "Thinner, Lighter" everything. It's a phone, it is no where near 'Heavy'

up the chips in the MBPs and up the speeds in the MBs?
seems likely to me.
Yup, possibly the cheap 2.0GHz Yonah's across the board in MacBooks and the 2.16 and 2.33 Merom's in the MBP. Plus a new enclosure at WWDC for MBP.
Get saving Al!

umm what the hell are you talking bout. / means divide plan and simple. No assumption are being made.
In higher level class you go dot see that - with dots above and below it in anything more than maybe text books and even then it is not that common.
Reason for it is the / is much clearer and less likely to be interpreted another operation (subtraction) by mistake. the / is very clear.
honestly I can not think of the last time I used something other than the / for division. I might of been in Jr high so close to 15 years ago. I know I sure as hell never used anything but the / in my upper level math class (cal and beyond)
Or when you reach an actually high math class you simply express division as a fraction.

I remember in elementary school, learning about the metric system since we were all going to switch to it. That never happened. I wonder why....
Too hard for some people to learn and there's already a system that works just as well in place.

Powerful system for sure but looking at this thing it seems the base unit is a workstation to me. The 7300 GPU is a $99 Gpu so I was surprised they went so low with the base graphics. Good thing you can build like you want it and they offer better GPu's but it wont be cheap. Cpu wise its kicks rear end just as its expansion now does and can hold 4 GPU's:eek: PowerMac is again a butt kicking machine. Twice as fast as old & slow quad G5 thats kind of funny. At least this gigantic tower can put things into all that space now:) There is a gigantic hole now for the user with a monitor. MacMini and ProMac......hmmmm when is the next show?
As a side note a AMD3500/6800GT combo will still hammer the base unit in Doom3:p

Thanks Captain Obvious... I think that is what Apple said at the very beginning ;)
great minds think a like :P
Apple said it would be released in the Summer, but the GM usually comes 3-4 weeks before hand. I know it is splitting hairs with this, as I was referring to the GM.
However, considering that it could be released via App Store first, there could be a much shorter delay from GM to its release date now.

So Ford and Sony and Boing will suit everyone for making products that looks and works like theirs? Just to give a wild example.

I agree with I student UK using the constraints of / makes it rather ambiguos (did I spell that right) as I originally read it. I believed the 2(9+3) to be in the denominator in which case the answer is clearly 2
You can't assume that 2(9+3) is under the denominator
They way it is explicitly written is interpreted to be (48/2)*(9+3)

Application Launcher - Useful for organizing apps
Versions - Useful for those who don't leave an external HDD plugged in at all times such as laptop users.
Resume - Useful when you need to restart your Mac.
Auto-save - Self explanatory.
Mission Control - Useful because you can view EVERYTHING on your Mac at a quick glance your windows, spaces, full screen apps, dashboard, etc.
Lion Server - Server functionality that wasn't there before unless you bought a server capable Mac.
Air Drop - Useful for quick file sharing.
Full screen apps - Useful when you are only doing one thing on your Mac or when you are using an app that uses a lot of real estate.
Want me to explain any more features for you?
He's talking about parts of the UI that have been taken from iOS. This is the worst example so far: http://forums.macrumors.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=278968&d=1301532493
It's clearly a "form over function" fail as the words are hard to read in the buttons. At least on the iPad, they had the decency to provide some contrast by making the letters white. It's horrible looking!
Then again, it's a developer preview. But I realllly hope stuff like that doesn't stick around. It's like the translucent menu bar introduced in 10.5 which everyone complained about that didn't get fixed with an checkbox option until 10.5.2. Apple has a history of making VERY silly decisions only to give us options several months later (like iPad side switch being a lock button in 3.2, forcing it to become a mute switch in 4.2, and then FINALLY an option for either in 4.3)

When I went to Switzerland they sold beer in litre glasses. That was a good trip! :D
Just wish they did proper ale not just lager!

It is expected since other laptop makers will be shipping the meron laptops around the same time. More likely upgrade comes this Tuesday (9/19).

If they do a revision, then its safe to say we won't see another update till santa rosa chipsets ship next spring alongside leopard. Which means "next month" is a good time to buy a MBP at least for a while.
This also suggest new ipods this fall (for christmas), conroe iMacs at the paris expo, iPhone as well as iLife/iWork updates and maybe Leopard shipping at MWSF....we all know steve likes beating deadlines meaning Leopard would definately ship before spring, unless he really wants vista out first before showing his cards to avoid photocopying.
