Hi, this is my first post here:)

I have the following laptop:

Powerbook G3 bronze keyboard Prismo (I think)
20 gig HD
384 MB SDRAM
OSX Tiger

Anyway, the battery was woken up after being in a cupboard for a year and is not being read correctly. A reading from coconut application reveals the following information about the battery right now:

Current Battery charge - 3985 mah
Maximum battery charge - 4544 mah 87%

Current battery capacity - 4544 mah
Original Battery capacity - 4600 mah 98%

The battery reader at the top of the screen shows the 87% and I expect nthe computer to sleep very shortly, forcing me to plug in the charger.

Ok it'd down to 79% and all is OK.....

There we go, it went to sleep at 74%

Does anyone know how to get the computer to read the battery power correctly?

Is there anything wrong with the battery itself?

I have a 2nd Gen iTouch (MB version)that I jailbroke to 4.1.

It drains the battery quickly after a recharge. I reset the network setting and this does help but it is annoying after every charge.

What version is best jailbreak for this issue? I believe I have my blogs saved from 3.12.

Just copy the data to the external, make sure it is there and then delete it from the internal HD.

Yeah, but apparently some are better than others. I've heard of people getting replacements for particularly bad ones. The replacements still have lines, but they're not as visible. :)

don't you just plug your camera / card reader into your computer to import? the process should be the same for stills and video.

are you saying your not using imovie 09 but an earlier version that doesn't support AVCHD? google will provide the specs/ability of each imovie version.

Intel SSDs seem to get much better reliability scores/feedback than the OWC, I wasn't sure which to go for in my Mini, but in the end I went Intel for this reason.

I'm sure either are fine, but the experts reckon on Intel.

Hi People,

I have finished editing a short film in Final Cut Pro, i exported to quicktime movie, put that in idvd and burnt a dvd. My project was shot and edited in 16:9 pro res 422 HQ

So I play it on my computer, and it looks fine; when i play it in my dvd player it appears to have been zoomed in a bit. So i use my remote control to zoom the screen out so that it appears in the middle of the screen smaller, and i can see the full frame as it was meant to be played. Ive tried playing my dvd on a different tv (all widescreen digital ones) and even through a playstation 2 and it still appears zoomed in. Please help!

Actually I believe I do. I know I have one, I'll have to dig around for the other though (if I can find it!).

thanks both of you, that worked kinda.
the only problem is in the dock, when you ctrl click the new icon to get the menu you can move out through folders on the hard drive but not on cds. the cd shows up, but just as an alias. any work around?
